Bake Off, ya hoser!

So, in the unending quest to do something completely different and random…

I’m entering the Pillsbury Bake-Off. With my "famous" (i.e., a couple people have asked me for the recipe) rice casserole.

Need to think of a jazzy name for it. "Rice casserole" is so utterly not going to cut it.

New this year: the Bake-Off requires the use of *two* qualifying products. Not gonna use Go-Gurt (TM). Not gonna use Bugles (R) Crispy Corn Snacks.

So very thankful that the Pillsbury/General Mills family of brands includes Muir Glen organic tomatoes, Cascadian Farm organic frozen fruit and Progresso canned beans (no, they don’t all go into the rice casserole…).

Fame, fortune and the Fontainebleau Resort in fabulous Miami, Florida… here I come!

    No GoGurt? Coward.
    Potential Names:
The Kinky Unicorn (see my recent email….)
    Red Molly’s White Casserole
    Communist Subversive’s Treat!
Even Your Kids Will Eat It
It’s not Low Carb, so &#$& off.

So what’s wrong with GoGurt? Don’t you think a crunchy, salty-sweet topping made of Bugles and GoGurt would put the perfect touch on that casserole? No casserole is complete without something weird and crunchy on top. You don’t know what’s good, that’s your problem.
Seriously, good luck. Without knowing what else is in the casserole (and that’s probably on a need-to-know basis now) I can’t suggest anything else. Well, “Not Just Rice” springs to mind but that’s as far as I can go. So good luck, keep us posted. If you need a beta tester for that recipe, I’m your girl.
