A small change, briefly noted

There is a minivan I see every day at Fisher’s school, dropping off and picking up.

I first noticed it because it’s the same make/model/year as my car and my acquaintance Gina’s car (her daughter also goes to the same school). Early ’90s Plymouth Voyager/Dodge Caravan, nothing to write home about. And on the back, this one has two magnetic "Support Our Troops" ribbons: one in standard yellow and the other in hellbent-for-glory red, white and blue. Also a flag bumper sticker that says "We Support Our Troops." A wee bit over the top, even for blood-red flag-wavin’ Western Colorado.

Today Rhys and I were walking up to get Fisher and we noticed a new emblem had been added to the crew:

A blue magnetic ribbon with a white dove on it and the words "Bring Our Troops Home Safe."

The times, they are a-changin’…
