Uncomfortable sensations

So did you ever get the feeling that circumstances were conspiring against you? Pushing you, shoving you, being rather ungentle, but maybe sending you in a direction that you’ve kind of known you probably needed to go?

Yeah. Dude. The universe is totally messin’ with my head. Every day brings new discomfiting developments that explode into my sleepy little niche like so many M-80s in a doily factory. (But I like my comfortable rut! Waah! "Tough," says the universe. "Freakin’ deal with it.")

And in other news: Announcing the launch of the best brand-new science blog ever. Wait… did I lose you at "science?" I meant "funniness." Check it out, you’ll be glad you did. Very Like a Whale

Finally: a quote.

Things alter for the worse spontaneously, if they be not altered for the better designedly.
–Francis Bacon

My head hurts and my tummy is all fluttery. I will go have some oatmeal and think about the best way to pretend all is as it ever was.

    Can you say…
    best-selling novel?

  2. Brianna says:

Yes. I have days when I feel all off balance. My best friend was out of the country for a month and since I was used to seeing him or talking to him every single day, I was off-kilter the whole time he was gone because I couldn’t even call him. But he’s back now and balances is starting to return to the world.

oooh…I know that feeling. Sometimes I just have to force myself to think, “can I do anything about this RIGHT NOW?” That helps me at least get to sleep when I’m in the middle of an upheaval, even if it’s a good upheaval.
