What killed the who?

Rhys (singing): Radio killed the radio star..
Fisher (superciliously): No, Rhys, video killed the radio star.
Rhys: Nuh-uh!
Fisher: Yep. It was video.
Mama: He’s right, Rhys. It was video.
Rhys: Oh. (beat) Can we listen to Van Halen?

Priceless… my mother always thought that during the refrain of “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes they were saying “Hey ya!” I can only imagine what would be construed from more muddled songs like Blur’s “Song #2″…

  2. RedMolly says:

For the longest time I thought Elton John was singing “Hold me closer, Tony Danza.”

  3. Zara says:

I think now we can say that MTV has killed the video star. Think anyone will come up with a song for that???? Although, according to Rolling Stone mag, they still rank MTV video’s. I wonder how….????
Rock on Rhys! Van Halen is AWESOME!

  4. Lori V. says:

Isn’t it ironic, Zara, that MTV has killed the video star, since “Video Killed the Radio Star” was the first video ever played on MTV?

  5. Helena says:

    Bwa-ha! (That’s like a “bwa-ha-ha” but just a little shorter.)
