The scene: Rhys is playing a game at Lego.com, with his ever-vigilant older brother leaning over his shoulder telling him what to do. (One of our house rules: no telling the other video game player what to do.)

Rhys: Oh crab. Oh crab.
Fisher: Crab?
Rhys: You know… like "oh man."
Fisher: You mean "Oh crap."
Rhys: …OK.

A few seconds later:
Rhys: Oh crap. Oh crap.

(I think I prefer "Oh crab." I’m going to add it to my lexicon, along with "piece of crab" and "crabtastic.")

A certain four year old in my house is very insistent on helping me play video games, though he’s the one for whom video games are generally a way to make a character die over and over and over and over and . . .
