Happy Birthday, August James!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday, dear Augie,
Happy birthday to you!
And many (many many many) moooooooooore….*

Look, Augie! Auntie Molly knitted you a cupcake!

Ha! It is to laugh! Those beads are far too tiny to be safe around a one-year-old, even one as intellectually advanced and aware of choking danger as you are, my little friend. Also, Auntie Molly doesn’t know how to knit. She stole the photo from this lady.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday, though you will remember nothing of it a year from now, and have the chance to properly besmear yourself with frosting and/or whipped cream. None of that nasty whole-grain healthy stuff, either. You tell your mama I said you can have white flour and buttercream. Your papa will back me up on this one.

Hugs and kisses from your whole Oregon family!

*For he’s a jolly good fellow,
For he’s a jolly good fellow,
For he’s a jolly good fel-loooowwwww…
And he’s a horse’s ….

    A horse’s what? What?! I don’t get it… 😉

He did have buttercream! And a vanilla cupcake. And sweet potato fries for dinner. No wonder he slept poorly last night…
Thanks for the song. And the knitted cupcake. Maybe if I knitted all my food I wouldn’t eat so much of it…

Remembering your recent post on knitting classes, I was so excited to spot your cupcake! But, nabbin’ pics off other sites is a great skill, too. 😀 Bottom line? Everybody should have an Aunt Molly!
